The Turkish Gaming Company Peak Has Been Sold to the Global Giant Zynga!

Zynga, one of the world’s largest gaming platforms, recently acquired the Turkish gaming company Peak for a significant amount of $1.8 billion. Established in 2010, Peak became the company that reached the highest value with the fewest employees in the shortest amount of time in Turkish history, with a total of 100 employees in just 10 years. This achievement also demonstrated the importance of believing in success to all local entrepreneurs.

The company’s founder and CEO, Sidar Şahin, stated, “The point we’ve reached today is a source of pride for all of Turkey, and this is just the beginning. On this journey with Zynga, we are excited to grow stronger and bigger together. We will continue to be a team that grows, advances, and keeps developing from Turkey.” With this statement, he indicated that their journey is far from over and that they will continue their work with even bigger steps.

Moreover, Peak is not Sidar Şahin’s first venture. His first initiative was the mobile game studio Funpac, established in 2003, which reached people in over 30 countries through more than 20 portals. After this success, he went on to play significant roles in ventures such as İzlesene.com, Gamegarden, and most recently, Trendyol.com, making substantial contributions to these companies along the way.

Peak, which broke record after record, surpassing the $1 billion sales figure and making the largest sale in Turkish history, is now recognized as the first local Unicorn company. This sale is considered to be even more significant than the $1 billion sale of Yemeksepeti to German Delivery Hero, and it has doubled the amount paid by the Chinese e-commerce giant for Trendyol. In just 10 years, Peak has succeeded in establishing its name not only in Turkey but also among the major players in the global market.

With the agreement, the company will continue its operations in Turkey under its own brand, making a change only in the partnership structure without altering its team or management. With this achievement, it has managed to make the nation proud in recent days. We wholeheartedly congratulate the entire Peak team involved in this significant sale, and we wish for a future where our country rises to even greater successes in the information technology sector.
